Posting Rules

Racism

All use of racist language on the forum will result in a ban, regardless of context. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned from the forums.

Religious Tolerance

Attacking people on the grounds of their religious beliefs can also result in action being taken against the individual. Note, there is a difference between criticising the beliefs themselves and the people who hold them. Any sectarian abuse will be dealt with in the same manner as racism.

Personal Abuse

The forum provides an opportunity for discussion and as such there will be disagreement. Referring to the flaws in someone's argument or criticising someone's point of view is acceptable within the boundaries of this forum. Personal abuse however will not be tolerated and may result in bans at a moderators discretion.

Threats

Threats towards users or staff are completely unacceptable and will result in bans of either a substantial length or, depending on the context, a permanent ban from the website.

Spam

There are several different categories of spam that may result in bans, which are detailed below:

• Repeat Posting (posting the same thing repeatedly, whether it is deleted or not)
• Duplicate threads (creation of threads similar in topic to those that already exist)
• Refusal To Bump (posting the same subject matter when a thread of yours already exists)
• Improper use of the forum (posting requests / questions that would be better on other sites, or could be answered through Google)

Bans will vary in length depending on the previous history of the user in question and the nature of the spam.

Post Deletion

Staff reserve the right to delete any post they deem inappropriate for the forums. Reposting anything that has been deleted is likely to result in a warning or a ban depending on the context and content.

Advertising

While we have no issue with people advertising their own cups or small events, using the forums to draw attention to your own endeavours - be they commercial or non-commercial - is not a right and is at the discretion of the moderation team. If you are unsure of the reaction your advertising may illicit then it is recommended you contact a staff member prior to posting for clarification. As with all things the moderators decision is final and if you choose to ignore this then you will receive a substantial ban.

Fake Accounts

Users are reminded that there is only a need to have one Cadred account. Creation of alternate accounts may result in a ban depending on the reasons behind it. Accounts created for the purposes of either antagonising users on the forum or bypassing bans will see sizeable bans put in place for the users in question.

Illegal Content

Posting of illegal warez, torrent and streams will all be deleted and lead to bans for the individuals posting them. The forum is not a conduit for illegal activity of any kind, and we have to enforce this rule for legal purposes.

Abuse of Staff

Anyone abusing staff members will face substantial bans. While we expect all users to respect one another, abuse of those who take the time to make a contribution to the website will not be tolerated. Bans will be put in place against those individuals who do this.

Ban Accumulation

If a user has several bans in their history then each subsequent ban will be for a longer period of time until it is deemed pointless to continue the process and a permanent ban is issued.

Bypassing bans

While we all know that the current Cadred banning system isn't perfect, anyone creating new accounts to bypass an existing ban will see the new account permanently banned, all posts deleted and their original ban reset. Creation of further accounts will extend the ban each time until a permanent one is issued.

IP bans

Users of minor offences will receive bans that still enable them to view the site. Users who continue to break the forum rules will have their IP, and all subsequent IPs, added to the ban list, which will prevent them from being able to view the site. This is monitored regularly.

Ban Process

If you find yourself banned and are unsure of the reason then there is a process to follow. It is advised you make contact with an admin to make your enquiry. Creating new accounts and / or forum threads to ask why you have been banned will only see your ban extended. After making contact we ask that you be patient and await a reply. Due to the workload place on the moderation team you will not receive personalised messages explaining why you have been banned.

We will actively check our forums throughout the day, however it is impossible to police them 24 hours of the day. We rely on your input and reports to help identify trouble makers and problem posts.

If you feel a post is breaking a rule or you are a victim of personal or racist abuse, please use the "Report abusive post" link at the bottom of every topic. Simply click on the link "+Click here to display the form", complete the form as best you can with a short description of the offence and offender and we will deal with it directly.

Heaven Media reserves the right to alter, update or change these rules without notice. Heaven Media also reserves the right to take action against individuals for any other excessive, rude or illegal posts made on its sites that are not covered by the general rules.

Our aim is to allow an area (the Forums) where our members can discuss freely whatever they wish in a mature and respectful manner and will only police our forums as a result of complaints or obvious breaches of the rules set out here.
