Biggest noflash exploit revealed AND FIXED!
@ Counter-Strike Source forum

Everyone knows how CSS is shit game and how many bugs and exploits it has.

There was a lot of bashing about snd_restart and accusations about some players using it to get rid of the flashbang. Funny story, as snd_restart was for pussies and noone ever addressed the real exploit which is more effective and I am sure that many top players are aware of that and some of them might be even using it in online cometition.

I contacted zBlock - no luck in fixing the problem
I contacted HPE when the port was announced - no luck fixing it
I contacted J3Di again - he thought that it was fixed - no it wasn't.
I contacted HPE again - waiting for another response.

Finally I decided to show this exploit to everyone and maybe once people will start to whine about this shit so much they will actually bother to fix that.

So how to turn off flashes - 100% undetectable by VAC, not blocked by zBlock , not recoreded in the demo and working fine with aeq (since it is exploit not a hack):

Go into main menu and type:

sv_cheats 1;
mat_suppress "effects/flashbang.vmt"
mat_suppress "effects/flashbang_white.vmt"
sv_cheats 0;

Join the server you are going to play on. If it is not working already, disconect. Retype those 4 commands again and type retry.

You are done. Now you can record a demo and play without a flashbang effect whole match without anyone suspecting something, unless you are terrible at acting.

PS:

Try to play the game just with mat_suppress "effects/flashbang.vmt"

You will get flashbangs almost exactly like in 1.6 and much more consistent over all graphics cards.

Now go and start bashing HPE to fix it or make the flashbangs looks the way I described now.
