ideas for summer 2011

so I really want to do something interesting/fun next summer, I finish uni in June, and was wondering if anyone can suggest some ideas on where/how to spend the summer, or input some of your own past experiences - preferably something self sufficient, or that ultimately wont set me back too much - probably not just traveling, but Im unsure atm

possible ideas;
going to a summer resort and doing catering/bar work (like an island resort ibiza etc or even somewhere further afoot, Australia?)
camp America (guy I know at uni did it this summer, who claims it was really good, im still not convinced though)

would be nice to have a couple of ideas from other people anyway :))

will bump it later in the day anyway, even cadred is a bit dead at 5am
