Just been browsing the net and come across a few things to do with Valve's ohh mighty one, see what you think:

On a final note, did anything ever come to light of the "Gabe Newell is my father" article?

(for those that don't remember, redeye wrote a letter about gabe newell / valve and a potential meeting of it to discuss the updating of css and cs2 (read again here : http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/79646/ )
(have also quoted the gist of it briefly below)

So here is what I have to offer. If Gabe Newell agrees to meet with us (the Cadred news team) to discuss Counter Strike: Source, I will enter the London Marathon in 2010, raise a minimum of £10,000 (via donations from Cadred users and Heaven Media’s CEO!) and donate the entire amount to charity. All Gabe has to do is get himself to London for the weekend and meet with us to answer our questions, and for us to then publish them here on Cadred. If it swings the deal, I am also prepared to run the marathon dressed as a giant inflatable penis/Left4Dead2 Character (delete where applicable).

Now whilst i realize valve have got HPE to do the updates and Paul is no longer with cadred / HM & the marathon has been and gone, which practically nullifies the whole thing, the only point i have is that this was an issue raised months ahead of the appointment of HPE (the thread was 11 months ago), so i was wondering if there was ever any official word back? Or did it fade into obscurity like so many other things? :(
