SC2 Player Caught Cheating
@ Starcraft 2 forum

TL;DR former professional SC2 player "Spades" has been caught cheating due to using team members to stream cheat (in FPS terms more familiar to you all, ghosting) and it's blown up and now people are ratting out other people about "possibly seeing X do it as well" including most Team ReIGN members. You can sift through the shit below; looks like another Reddit witch hunt.

CatZ analyzes the replay, calls Spades a hacker (map hack, not stream cheat): http://www.twitch.tv/rootcatz/b/320407912

Rough translation:

"i didn't speak much english at that time and what i said might have been interpreted by the manager differently"
"i've never said anything like this, and this probably resulted from the lack of understanding between me and the manager"
"i apologize for what this event has caused to the sc2 community as a whole
"i guess this stemmed from me, so all i can say at this point is i'm really sorry"
"i will try to analyze the situation in a bit and will post once again"
"i also need to talk to the former manager (referring to Mirhi here) and see what is happening"
"again, i apologize for any inconvinience this may have caused"

As with all games, stream cheating is taken very seriously and this has potential to unearth many players in the next few days whether or not they've stream cheated. Former hackers such as LightPwnr and the mCk/hACK crew have come out and said that many top players have been asking for map hacks, but due to lack of evidence the thread was immediately removed (despite OP saying he'd gather evidence in due time).

Sounds like sAviOr's about to repeat another era.

Discuss.
