Sound problem

So I have a small speaker system which I used this monday and nothing was wrong, then when I came home yesterday, they suddenly didn't work at all.
So I've tried to connect it through different ports and stuff, and it seems that windows won't recognize that the TRS connector is connected to the computer. The Realtek driver recognize it right away, but I can't activate the sound out ports as sound output, as windows see them as unconnected.

I've tried other speakers and my usb headset works fine. I've got multiple ports in the soundcard which could be used, but windows doesn't recognize that the audio cable is connected so it won't let me choose to set it to play sound through those ports.

So what could be broken, Windows or the TRS connector port?
