Over Worked?

So today I've got a 15~ hour shift at work, with little to no proper breaks and I just wondered, as this being highly illegal, are other companies also known to do this? I work in quite a posh hotel (Best Western+) and I wondered if other places do this. I'm working an 11am - finish (2:30am-ish). The only break i'll have is the odd fag break and the chances of being fed are very slim as the head chef is quite a dick when it comes to feeding the staff.

So I ask, do other companies do this?
