What components to upgrade?

I have recently noticed that my rig on games i beginning to seem slow and jittery.

I have a q660 (stock 2.4ghz overclocked to 3ghz)
2gb 800mhz dominator ram
Nvidia 260gtx card
asus p5n3 sli mobo

I dont want to spend alot at all really.

Would that processor fit in a new motherboard built for say a 2500k processor?

Mobos seem around £70 that im looking at. £30 for 8gb of ddr3 ram.
£160 for the processor.

Ideally id just keep using my current processor but if not ill save up a bit more.

graphics card ill keep until mid 6 series cards are introduced then upgrade that too.


Any ideas on products that are best value?
