Keep aspect ratio 4:3?
@ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive forum

I thought I would probably keep to 4:3 aspectOFF/blackbars since it's what I've being used to for years. I did a simple test on the widescreen resolutions to see what is is like to play GO on them, and how they increase your FoV (field of view).

Seen the result, you clearly see wider with 16:9. An example when seen more can be beneficial is I guess in the spot from the images, being able to watch upper but having that extra view over ladder. Playing on in widescreen didn't feel that different and awkward compared to how it was on 1.6/Source for me.

You think this advantage is worth adapting to as it is a new game so maybe might as well? People with 4:3 CRTs probably wouldn't even think about it, but a lot of people have high refresh widescreens, will they have an advantage if they adapt to this?
