Replacing Deathadder

Alright, so I know these topics are very frequent, or at least I assume so. However I've been away from most of the gaming scene for almost 2 years. I've been in Australia for 2 years, and cs is pretty much non existent here.

Now that I'm going back to the Netherlands, and with the release of CSGO I'll probably play a little again. However, my Deathadder isn't working properly anymore. This is the 2nd time the cable seems to have broken.

Therefore I'm looking at other options. I don't know if there have been any new releases in terms of gaming mice that might perhaps be superior. I've been looking at the steelseries products. None of the other razor or logitech mice really tempt me.

I just want something simple, and I must say I really loved the deathadder design in terms of comfort.

Have the lasers improved yet? or is optical still the way to go. I remember a lot of tracking issues a few years back when it came to laser sensors.

Also before my two Deathadders I had a g5, and I don't wanna go back to that shape.
