SGL have announced the first of their CS:GO Cups in order to test the waters...everyone should really get behind this and support them and help them get back to their former glory. SGL used to be an amazing league to play in with some of the best admins around and this could potentially be amazing for the scene. What can be the harm of another active league in CS:GO?? They've also launched a ladder if anyone's interested in that.

theSGL Rises

So after an extended break and a few discussions we have decided to return to providing gaming tournaments. It seems a logic time to do this with valve releasing their new flagship game CS:GO. This is the game we will now be concentrating on however I have not written off giving CS 1.6 a last send off if there are enough teams who still want to play.

So where do we begin, I recognise we are not going to be starting where we left off. So we will start at the very beginning again.

With CS:GO in mind we will be running a few one night cups to test the water find our feet as they say, after a few cups we will run a bigger cup to seed ready for a full on season very simple idea and never failed us before. My hope is that we will return to a season where it is hosted on SGL servers as I always thought that’s what defined us from other leagues. I will be hunting around seeing if we can get sponsored by any server providers.

I will be recruiting admins to help out; I still hope the guys who are keeping the forums under control are happy to keep doing that as they are doing a cracking job. If you would like to help out please pm me here.
