Strange audio problem
@ General forum

Hey!

So i've had ALOT of sound and PC problems recently (http://www.cadred.org/Forums/Thread/182951/

But a long time ago, i think its more than one month now, i've been fighting with my sound like everyday... reinstalling drivers, trying different headphones, trying hell LOTS of different things to try to get the best audio quality i could get, like i GOT first time i bought my soundcard and headset.. it was just not possible, like the 7.1 surround suddenly didnt work anymore, and the sound began to sound muddy and stuff.. regardless of whatever i did, like formating windows, trying different headphones, unplug and replug soundcard etc.

So in last, i gave up trying to do much stuff, but as i am as a person i just cant give up, so today i decided to plug in the DAC i bought long time ago.. it was a very cheap DAC that i wanted to use to get power enough for my headphones (ATH-M50) but i took them off and packed them away like 5 mins after i got them, because i didnt need them at ALL.. the sound was so clear and awesome without them, but today, after months as i said, i decided to give them a go again... AND WOW the sound is like one of the best qualities i have heard in a long time, it's the most closiest thing i could come to my standard setup.

But that got me wondering... because before i could listen JUST fine on a PC without any DAC, the quality was top and much better than it is now WITH DAC.... when i wanted to use my headphones on my phone i needed a dac otherwise my headphones wouldnt get enough power and the sound quality would be poor.. and thats EXACTLY what is happening with my PC.. atleast what i think.

So yea, i very much suspect that my PC doesnt give power enough to my headphones or soundcard without the DAC giving the extra power, is there any function in windows that does limit the power giving, to save power etc? and with the recent PC problems with power issues like black screen and stuff like i mentioned in the start it really got me thinking and i REALLY want this fixed.

Yes you're thinking that i could just use the DAC and stuff, but i want my old sound back and it should be possible, these DAC sounded like crap compared to my "regular" soundquality i had in the start before the issues, hence why i decided to pack them away again, but now they're LOTS better than what sound i have in my PC, after the issues.

And yes, sorry for the wall of text, but i really do take this very seriously.
