Tablets, what do I get?

So,

I'm thinking about buying a tablet budget is probably around £250, so no, not an iLikeToTakeAllYourMoneyPad.

Does anyone have one, and what would you recommend? Going to be using it for on the go stuff, so not really movies. More for mobile internet access than isn't on a small screen & my laptop is too chunky for that.

I will be tethering my blackberry for wifi access, so no 3g.

I was looking at nexus 7, the only thing is, it's 7inch and I'm not sure whether it's big enough.

I have googled best tablets etc, but I want personal experience with them.

Good useability with emails &email settings is also a must.
