I didn't see this posted anywhere, and thought it's worth discussing or at least take note off.

I like volcanos way of thinking. But if it was up to me to make it, I'd keep the rewards in between 200 and 500 $.

Kill rewards has never been a big impact thing in CS before, I don't hate it, but it seems to be quite a jump with 900$ for some weapons. It makes a hell of a difference, more than what's fair. a 100 or 200 would make a difference as well, isn't that enough?

Some of my own thoughts on the weapon rewards:
Rewards shouldn't force what we buy, and doubtfully will ever do that, no matter how high the reward will ever be. The rewards made by VALVe probly fits perfect in casual play. But in competitive play we won't keep using SMGs and Shotguns at the current rate anyways. Once the standard skill level gets high enough the handful of disadvantages those guns have compared to rifles, will standout. And you will secure your own loss by choosing them for the money.

But SMGs and Shotguns could still be rewarding, just not game turning rewards... Big money has always been talking to the stupid part of the brain, CS is not gambling for gods sake.


My suggesstion:

Gun Reward

Pistols 300

SMGs 500
- PP Bizon 300
- P90 300

Shotguns 500
- MAG7 400

This will allow for a decent advantage in third and fourth round if second round is succesful.

Rifles 300
- SSG 08 400

The SSG 08 has already proven very powerful against bigger guns, but it could still use some hype though.

MGs 300

Grenades 500
- HE Grenade 300
- Molotov 400

Considering volcanos argument

Knife 800

Only because it should be rewarding
