My internet speed has Halved itself....

Anyone know what would cause my internet to be behaving this slowly? We are supposed to be getting 6mb/s down and 512k up, but clearly that speedtest does not hit anywhere near that mark.

I cannot watch youtube videos, streams skip every second, and any site that isnt text based like reddit takes ages to load. My mom talked to support last night and they said it was my modem, which we plan on replacing as its not even made anymore. I used the AT&T site to take a another speed test as requested by support and it shows 6MB down and 512k up yet outside that test Im not seeing it.

Is it actually only the modem or could it be a virus of some sort? I ran a full scan that took over 6 hours and it came up with nothing. Im good with computers but I cant troubleshoot this slow internet issue worth a shit.
