For some reason recently I've noticed the fan on my GPU has been going into overdrive about 10 minutes after starting WoW. If I tab out or close the game the fan almost immediately goes back to normal.
I've just checked the temperature using Speedfan and when tabbed out with WoW running in the background (or not at all) my GPU temp is stable at around 44C. As soon as I tab back in the temp shoots up to nearly 60C.
The max temp for my GPU is roughly 100C so I'm not too worried about it overheating but given how fast the temperature increases I'm assuming something isn't right. I don't really have any other graphics intensive games (not that WoW is anyway) so is there a way for me to investigate what's going on?
Thanks in advance.
