latest thread box

sometimes i only get the Latest new thread box appear and then other times i have the latest active thread box and the latest new thread box.

Is this a normal thing on the website or is it something wrong at my end. I use XP and firefox.

I just use these boxes to read whats current on the site and it seems strange that 1 of them disappears for a few days almost every week
