Decent PC for 500-600 pounds?!

Well after 3 blue screens today and constant 30-40 FPS for over the past 6 months i've decided that its time to get my good ol' 3500+ with an amazing 9800 pro in the bin!
Just wanting your views on what i should get, no need of any external stuff like keyboards and monitors etc just need a system that is half decent. Got a Thermaltake soprano. so i don't think i need a case.
If you could help that would be grand, like i said price range around 500-600 pounds.
