Computer shutting down

Right as the title says my pc shuts down, now this only happens when I play any games for a little while. The screen just turns its self off and it's as if my pc goes into standby mode, sometimes it crashes when it stops and any sound over the headphones crashes and repeats. I thought it was my cpu over heating so I got a new heatsink so it can't be that. Could it be my graphics card just being too old/overused & that I need a new one?
