Vent Codec?

Ok folks, not sure if this one has been asked before, but what codec offers the best quality for Ventrilo?

I googled around a bit and just found people saying "I think this one is good...blah blah" but nothing that really had any evidence to back it up, and I didn't find 2 thread talking about the same codec either.

So what ones do you all use and what’s the majority preference?
