Logitech Speakers + subwoofer

I bougth the Logitech Speakers + subwoofer X-230 like 6 months ago, and I hardly ever used them ( because I prefer my headset) but recently I needed to use them because I had mates over.

Basically, even if I turn the Subwoofer on the lowest volume setting, its still loud as hell and can be heard throughout the house... the speaker volume is fine ( not even loud ) but the deep base sound can be heard anywhere, which sucks after 10pm. ( the intro from Dexter for example makes my room shake and the air expelled from my subwoofer reaches about 10cm....)

Does anyone have a logitech set which has the same problem? a few people I know have the same issue with a different set of speakers though.

The reason I made this thread, is because I still have warranty, but I want to know if all logitechs speakers are fucked, or just mine. if they are all fucked, then no point returning mine.
