CSS fps lag tings

Since i've been using an external usb hub to connect my mouse and keyboard to my computer my css has been getting really annoying fps lag spikes, dropping down to 15fps sometimes. Also, on connecting the keyboard and mouse to the usb hub I am unable to click on anything unless I CTRL+ALT+DEL and then click certain windows. Just wondering if there is a solution or if anyone has had the same problem?
