New Kitten?

Basically, we've had our cat for 3/4 years now, she's never scratched/hissed at anyone,

until today,

well we've just got a new kitten today, and basically our other cat has got really pissed, grumpy as fuck, and hissing at anything/anyone, + she scratched the fuck outta my hand :X lol

i'm guessing it's a teritorial[sp] thing, just wondered if anybody had been in the same situation/knows anything about cats,

will she get used to having the kitten around?
