Few problems overclocking

Yeh so I have windows vista 32bit and I tried to overclock my mx518 with hidusbf to 500 hz but every time I try it my mouse just stops responding to that usp port(stops working all together even if I replug or restart it wont work) and its still on 125hz. If anyone knows what the problem could be or any other programs there are for me to clock it to 500 hz please help me :)
