After an illustrious career in CS:S Danni 'rytme' Hansen has called an end to his playing days. Leaving team XLBet with just 4 members.

At the moment one of the strongest domestic scenes in Europe right now is the Danish one, with a vast amount of players capable of outperforming much of todays "elite". The country is home to arguably the best team in Europe at the moment in the shape of über G33KZ and in the past they have always had one of two teams in or around the top of the European scene.

One player who has been there since the beginning is Danni 'rytme' Hansen. The players first major team was one of the most memorable Danish teams ever in RL:R - who went on to represent MYM. That team would go on to be known as perhaps the most naturally gifted teams in Europe, consistently pulling out huge performances against the biggest sides around. Many people felt that if they had practiced more they could have overthrown fnatic as the giants of that era.

The player was removed from the MYM lineup just two weeks before the organisation decided to drop CS:S entirely as they no longer saw it as a financially viable game. From there the core of the lineup joined forces with Henrik 'FeTiSh' Christensen and Jim 'jIMMy' Thorsen to form what would soon be known as Magnitude. It didn't take long for them to click as they instantly became a team to fear, as well as a fan favourite among CS enthusiasts. Their inventive and aggressive play meant they were always a great team to watch when they were firing on all cylinders. They even threw up one of the best CS:S matches in history at LAN79 when they lost out to fnatic in three maps.

Internal difficulties tore the team apart over time though and after a number of roster changes they never quite managed to find the form they had previously. After a shocking performance at TeX last year Danni and the team decided to part ways as he took a break from competitive CS:S. He recently joined up with team XLBet, stating it would be the last competitive team he played in when he did. It hasn't lasted long though as just this week he had announced that he would be departing the side and taking a step back from competitive gaming as a whole as he would like to concentrate on things outside of the game. He has stated that he may pop up in future at various local LAN events but the possibility of him ever trying to return to his glory days is zero.

He said the following to Danish site XplayN:

I have chosen to stop playing Counter-Strike competitively because I simply no longer have either the desire or time required to keep up with the better teams on the scene. I have toyed with the idea for a few weeks but now I have made the decision. I will not play on a serious team again, but I will probably still be online sometimes to a gather or for a game of HoN! Shoutout to ALL the boys in N2, the old RL:R and the current XLBET - my time in gaming would not have been the same without you!:D

This leaves XLBet with just 4 members:
