The ESWC saw the best teams from all over the world congregate in EuroDisney, Paris, for a tournament that was one of the most competitive events on the 1.6 calendar. A player making his mark here would be able to say with much confidence they were one of the best in the world.
After a string of fine individual performances we drew up a shortlist of the best players and let you vote on them. This time around the victory has gone to someone by an absolute landslide and indeed it'd be hard to disagree with the outcome.
Na'Vi were the tournament winners and instrumental in that victory was AWP supremo Yegor "Markeloff" Markelov who played well throughout but really made his mark in the final against SK-Gaming where he put on a masterclass. His victory saw him fend off Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, fnatic's statistically strongest player and Danny "Zonic" Sorensen from mTw. A late surge of votes for Firegamers player Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo wasn't enough to get him into the top three despite a fine tournament.
The top three are as follows:
Markeloff - Na'Vi 50%
f0rest - fnatic 17%
zonic - mTw 8%
So congratulations to Yegor on his award and be sure to vote in our next MVP award, which will be from the DSRack LAN #2 in Denmark.
