American side Loaded have won the first ever Honcast Invitational tournament, seeing off European top dogs fnatic.MSI in a thrilling grand final.

The inaugural Honcast Invitational tournament has now come to an end and it is team Loaded - back from the dead - who have secured first place and a $600 cheque. When it was announced that team Loaded would be losing chu` - arguably the best HoN player on the planet - a few months ago many people felt they would never been the same, claiming it was chu` who made the team what they were. The Americans have refuted those claims with a spectacular win over fan favourites fnatic.MSI.

It didn't look like it was going to happen that way after the first map as fnatic were rampant, amassing 27 kills to Loaded's 1 kill before the fifteen minute mark. With moral low and well behind on both gold and levels the inevitable happened as the Americans called for the 15 minute concede, handing the early lead to fnatic. When the picking stage for map number two got underway fnatic went with perhaps the strangest picks ever seen in top level play, deciding to go with 4 carries. The team attributed the strange picks to a mis-click but from a spectators point of view it looked like they underestimated their opponents following such a dominant display on the first map, deciding to mess around for the second.

As it turned out the 4 carry set-up didn't go according to plan and Loaded took the second map before fnatic could get a foothold in the match. That set up a deciding map with everything on the line, and it was in the third map that both teams showed their potential with some fantastic play on each side. Team Loaded kept the edge throughout but fnatic constantly pipped them back to keep it close, in the end it was one fight which won the game for Loaded and lost it for fnatic as the Americans took out all three barracks before fnatic called for the concede.
