IEM: Group A Finishes
@ IEM Shanghai channel

Group A of the IEM Shanghai Global Challenge has finished.

The first of the two groups have come to a conclusion, probably not finishing the way most people thought it would. You can find full details of the groups here.

For the reigning champions, it wasn't the most straight forward of groups as Na'Vi were held to two close draws with both TyLoo and WeMade Fox, before beating 9ez. This forced the Ukranian side down to 2nd place after TyLoo beat WeMade FOX.

With only the top two teams going through, this meant it was the end for the Korean based side, who again have gone home earlier than they probably would have hoped for. Both TyLoo (in 1st) and Na'Vi (in 2nd) go through to the next stage, the single elimination bracket.

They will come up against the two top teams from Group B.

One interesting point to look at is if the predictions are right and fnaticMSI to top their relatively straight forward group, then we will see a fnaticMSI vs Na'Vi semi final, with a guaranteed Chinese team in the final. This of course all rests on fnaticMSI topping their group, and we all know how they tend to struggle to find top form in their early games.

Group B games start tomorrow morning at 4am in the morning UK time, but we will have information of the games if you are not planning on being up at that time.
