i40: Are mySKi About To Crack?
@ i40 CS:S channel

Moments ago Crack Clan defeated surprise package mySKi 16-12 in a close encounter. The game unsurprisingly had an edge to it as the sizable UK egos rubbed up against each other in a crunch situation. Yet that spilled over into some serious ill feeling by the time the match had finished.

Why exactly? Well, with the game being played on de_train and in truth the teams were evenly matched. Then came the turning point... A 1v2 situation with the bomb ticking away saw Mike "Acky" Halliwell perform a fake, but arguably illegal defuse, through part of the train. The resulting antics from the encamped Terrorists went wrong, enabling the player to win the clutch.

The rules state now that you have to be able to see part of the light to perform a defuse, yet reviews of the demo suggest that there was no light visible at the time he performed it. While it is down to admins discretion, previous events have seen round penalties given out, even if mySKi did seem intent on having the whole result overturned. The admins described the reaction to the incident as "being mobbed" as an incensed group of players demanded justice.

The upshot? Well, no decision as of yet but at 16-12 if they were to, by way fo a for instance, try and keep everyone happy they might go for an OT situation. Yet there's much mumbling and rumbling as the score hovers in the balance. mySKi are reportedly adamant that they should be awarded the victory, Crack Clan are more stoic and are waiting on the admins decision with crossed fingers.

As things stand nothing has been decided as of yet...

UPDATE:

The decision has just come in and we understand that the Crack Clan vs mySKi game will now be replayed from the point where Crack Clan were 10-11 as Counter-Terrorist. Starting money will be $5,000.

FURTHER UPDATE:

Crack Clan triumph 16-13.
