Well that turned out to be a bit of an anti-climax.. Billed as the match of the tournament many expected the DEMONiC.mix to push VeryGames all the way.

It didn't quite work out that way though, after witnessing the match I can now genuinely say that I've never seen a team quite like VeryGames. Sure there's been spells were dominant teams have controlled every event, from the days of fnatic to the SALVO reign of terror. But never has a team looked so comfortable, so in control and so good as VeryGames do right now.

Sure they were up against a mix but regardless, the way they bossed the game made DEMONiC.mix - featuring some of the best players the UK has ever produced - look sub standard. As the match got underway on de_inferno it was the Frenchman who won the knives and selected to play on the CT side. Winning the pistol round and the next two eco's set up the foundation for what would turn out to be a complete whitewash, the only time DEMONiC looked close to getting a round was on the 4th and the 8th as the made it a 1v1. It was something else to watch, for once hudzG looked deflated, like nothing he could say would be enough to rally his troops - and he was right, they were a beaten team from the word go.

They headed into the second half staring a 16-0 defeat right in the face and a nervy pistol round showed just how deflated they were. After winning the pistols hudzG, jokingly told his team: "

Nice, we just need 14 more of them and we're sorted now..."

As it happens they only managed one more of them as a deagle buy on the third round for VeryGames saw them push the quad side of middle, over-running the Brits with their numbers and holding the site to take the round and the match. They now head into the upper bracket final where they will face the plucky Italians of OX Gaming. Whilst DEMONiC will need to battle their way through the ever treturous lower bracket.
