It is official – the Swedish Lions will be attending the Grand Finals of the World Cyber Games of 2010.

The Lions, consisting out of five people who previously belonged and played for H2k, have announced their attendance at the WCG Grand Finals in LA. The organization acquired the five players off H2k-Gaming just eight days ago, and already six days later great results were achieved – Lions became the Champions of the ASUS Summer 2010.

While the CS-squad still belonged to H2k, it attended the WCG Nordic qualifiers, in which it managed to get all the way to semi-finals. Sadly enough, the semi-finals were lost to SK. Despite the loss, the Lions still qualified for WCG's Grand Finals of this year.

According to the WCG regulations, only players earn their spot in the Grand Finals, not the organizations to which the players belong. So even though the Grand Finals spot was earned while the team played for H2k-Gaming, after the team's transfer to the Lions the spot remains theirs.

We're heading to LA baby! Once again the Lions will be seen on US soil, heading over there from Lions will be FYRR73, threat, niko, kHRYSTAL, Xizt, their Coach Nostra and the Chairman of the board Monk!

The event will be hosted at LA's very own Convention Center, where some of the world's finest CS talents will fight face-to-face for the first place. The Grand Finals of the World Cyber Games of 2010 will kick off on the 30th of September, coming to an end on the 3rd of October. As usual, Cadred will deliver the premier coverage; stay tuned!
