American organisation compLexity have announced the immediate release of their Counter-Strike 1.6 team.
On the 23rd of March, a week after compLexity removed their former Counter-Strike 1.6 team, they announced their new team with Thomas "
thoMz" Garcia and Derek "
dboorN" Boorn - both of whom were part of the old compLexity squad - forming the core. Joining up with them was David "
Xp3" Garrido and Scott "
evolution" Cavallero from former team Loaded and Jeff "
hero" Mettetal from x3o.
After the team failed to perform at Arbalet Cup Dallas, the team changed Scott "
evolution" Cavallero for Andrew "
Irukandji" Timmerman, who was part of the former compLexity team with thoMz and dboorN.
Today it was posted on
complexitygaming.com that one of their players have missed his flight to Beijing, China for MSI BEAT IT finals because he forgot his visa, somehow this lead to the news that two of their players missed their flights for China.
compLexity could not understand this and immediately released the team from the organisation.
This type of incompetence and outright disrespect for a tournament organizer flies in the face of everything compLexity stands for and will not be tolerated...
...However, that being said, the group as a collective has been the most difficult we, as managers, have ever dealt with. There was constant turmoil, in-fighting and finger pointing. Rather than taking our advice and direction to develop a core group of five loyal players, the team consistently insisted on roster changes, even threatening to retire if not given their way. Against our better judgment, and in the interest of maintaining a North American Counter-Strike team, we acquiesced and gave our newest roster one more chance at proving themselves. This final act of disrespect to our organization, eSports and the tournament organizers at MSI BEAT IT has left us with no choice but to release the squad.
