The Gamereplays.org 2nd Invitational finished last night with an impressive match between LOADED and Empire Gaming.

The Tournament which was hosted by Gamereplays.org featured separate qualifiers for European and North American teams. Each week teams battled it out to gain enough points to make it through to the invitation tournament bracket and an opportunity at taking home a piece of the $2,000 prize pool. The invitational bracket stage was single elimination, with each match being best of 3 and the final being played as a best of 5.

Empire Gaming began the first game very weak, but as all seemed lost something clicked, they began playing as a team with aggressive play and outstanding team co-ordination they took hold of the first map and came through with an impressive victory, something which took LOADED by surprise considering their bright start. Unfortunately for Empire Gaming this did not continue through to the next two games as LOADED began to take charge again with some dominating play by bkid playing as Devourer. The fourth map was a match full of intense game play and great co-ordination by both teams but LOADED ultimately won the match taking the series 3-1 and taking home a cool $1,000.
