wCrea Drop CS Team
@ Scene news channel

Last month it was announced - much to the surprise of the community - that French organisation wCrea would be adding Danish CS team p00nhandlers to their ranks.

After losing their French lineup just days before the announcement very few people saw the organisation looking to the Scandinavian countries for a replacement team, as it turns out it was a match made in heaven and both parties were ecstatic at the deal.

Not long after joining up with the organisation the team shocked the world with a win over the kings of Danish CS - mTw.dk - in the Danish WCG qualifier, guaranteeing the team a spot at the grand finals in LA later this month. Unfortunately what began well has come to a rather bitter end, as the organisation announced that they would be parting ways with their team with immediate effect. They have stated the reasoning behind the move is because the team will not be representing the wCrea organisation at the WCG - instead they will be called team Denmark.

After hearing this news the organisation contacted the organisers behind the WCG to try and negotiate a deal which would allow the team to attend under the wCrea name, but their request was denied. The squad had also appealed to the WCG organisers to fund the travel for their manager, but that too was rejected. Upon hearing this the team turned to their organisation - to no avail. This is alleged to have caused a rift between the team and the organisation, and as it shows, one that cannot be fixed.

Team coach Marc "MarcK" Kjærgaard said the following to HLTV.org

Today we have parted ways with the wCrea organisation. The decision was pretty easy for us. We have had a lot of discussions and arguments with Julien "Wats" Duarte in the last couple of days.

We will not comment on specific situations, but let’s just say, that we were very unhappy about the commitment and willingness to help the team as much as possible.

Even though our main focus at the moment is our participation in World Cyber Games, we are looking forward to finding a good and healthy organisation that will support us in any way possible.

wCrea was:

Jack "wazorN" Henriksen
Timm "ArcadioN" Henriksen
Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Michael "Friis" Jørgensen
Morten "suraNga" Jensen
