Area51 will have to bring in Kory "semphis" Friesen for the WCG in Los Angeles later this month. This has come to light following visa issues for one of their players Garett “GRT” Bambrough.

The Canadian representatives for the World Cyber Games have had to make the change at short notice but this hasn't deterred them from trying to find the positives in the situation. Indeed, they will need to given that they will be coming up against the likes of WeMade FOX in the group stages.

Kory "semphis" Friesen had this to say to ESEANews.com:

"It feels good to be playing in an all Canadian team again after my short stint in Ruins. Tomorrow we’re going to start going over maps and work me into the team. The past couple days we've just been pugging and it's really hot or cold because I don't know all of their tactics yet.

Also, practising for WCG is really annoying because it just so happens to be fire week. We don't want to play that map at all but that’s all anyone is playing."
