We oil the wheels of progress as our friends at the Electronic Sports League try to push TF2 forward

The finalised divisions have been announced for the upcoming ESL 6on6 League Season VI have been announced, after preliminary divisions were released a few days ago to test the waters. A bit of reshuffling in Division 3 and a big switch in the Premier Division are the main changes publicised.

Sneaky Spaniards, Team Mister, have made the cut whilst the curiously named “Okay, Thanks.” are banished to the lower division wastelands. Fixtures are scheduled to start in less than a week in this sixth season of league action, which heralds yet another revamp.

WildCard has been a promising addition to the admin team, working hard behind the scenes to rally support for a competition often-maligned by European Team Fortress 2 and even this very writer. I’m a big believer in second, third, fourth, fifth and even sixth chances, so I’m really going to try and get behind this current regime; but if you make me cry again ESL, its curtains!

We intend to bring you weekly updates on the Premier Division action, with player opinions and predictions, and with rumours of an official ESL casting team in the works this could be one of the best covered online TF2 competitions to date. All we need is the heaving masses to get onboard!

The Premier Division is the jewel in the crown, with a no nonsense vanilla rule set and six of the best teams in Europe, minus the stubborn Team Dignitas of course; their previous squabbles with ESL see them abstain from this competition, despite playing in the EMS. All about that cash money boys?
