mTw have triumphed over fnatic in the delayed finals for the second EPS Nordic season. The game had been on hold for over a month and the third season already started before a date could be agreed.
The problems that prevented the first attempt from going ahead were due to DDoS attacks, a reason that nearly saw fnatic pull out of the third season altogether until reassurances were made.
Regardless of the background, mTw have siezed the opportunity and managed to sneak a close victory against the Swedish giants. mTw already had a map in the bag from the first game, a 16-13 win on de_nuke, and that score was mirrored on de_dust2 and that saw the Danish side win the EPS Nordic for the second season running.
After winning mTw legend Danny "zonic" Sørensen gave a statement to HLTV.org:
I'm happy to have defended our title and it's nice to do it against a team like fnatic. However, I think it's sad that we had to wait a month to finish this event, and I am worried about future online events because of these kids.
With that being said, I'm looking forward to the new season, which has already started. Hopefully we can win yet another title.
