Osama Has Nowhere To Hide
@ Scene news channel

Since Osama Bin Ladens 'death' just last week people have been left wondering just how the US Army finally caught up with the wiliest man in the world, today we can reveal exactly how they did it.. by playing CS:S (disclaimer: This isn't actually how they did it).

Yep, it could be argued that president Obama himself is a fan of CS:S given the fact that one cheeky map-maker had developed a map based entirely on Bin Laden's secret base. Created by map developer Fletch, the level, called fy-abbottabad, is modeled on the town in Pakistan where the al-Qaeda leader was found in hiding by the US troops. The map reportedly features various intricate details of the $250,000 complex that the most wanted man in the world was living in but doesn't let players enter the buildings.

Critics have slammed the decision to develop a map based around the hideout, stating that it's too soon after the death of Osama, however Fletch fought back in an online blog, he said:

"What a lot of people don't understand is that the only thing this map has in common with Osama is location.

I can see why people would think it is in bad taste, but honestly if that's your opinion you may as well protest the whole game (as well as many others).
The map, in all of its glory

The map was made available to the public on the 7th of May and since then it's been downloaded more than 9,000 times. According to a recent blog post Fletch says the current map is only a beta and the updated de_ version will be released in the coming weeks.

Anyway, on to the real update. de-abbottabad is close to completion. I find it a lot more enjoyable than this (fy_) version.

The idea is that the T's (terrorists) have returned to destroy sensitive information before it can be located and taken away.
