So, its this time of year again. With less than two weeks left, whether you're at school, at work, or totally free of all responsibilities, you're slowly doing less and less, as your holiday pulls closer.

Its been a great year here at Cadred; we've seen a huge growth in hits and activity, we've seen some great staff join us, and some great staff depart, we've covered 14 LAN events, all over the world, along with numerous online events, we've seen a divide with Insignia Cadre and all teams, we've then seen the Insignia Cadre organisation drop altogether to leave more focus on us, and you, here at Cadred. We've seen Cadred be named official coverage partner for the Championship Gaming Series, and, most recently, we've seen the merging of GameTV into Cadred, to create CadredTV!

With all this growth, supported by the backing of the great community we have here, Cadred will continue to go on and on, growing and improving, in 2008, and beyond, but first its time to put our feet up, and have a good Christmas! Don't worry, we certainly won't be letting coverage dry up, Max is still in America bringing us great coverage from the CGS world finals, and all our news staff will keep up the great job they do.

So, we've looked back on the last year, we've looked very briefly into the year ahead of us (although theres some tasty new projects up and coming that you'll just have to wait for!), all that's left for me to do is thank a few people! It's all too easy to give all credit to all the people who's names popup most frequently on www.cadred.org, but in reality, there are so many people behind the scenes who do so much great work for us all. There's Teijo (Aroppuu) of course, who not only spends 60% of his life developing the new site we have coming soon (Cadred V3) but also tirelessly puts work into the current site, and supporting the staff through-out. Teemu (wabbit)'s work may have become less visible to people who just see the article authors, but he is, of course, still working hard as ever to continue improving Cadred, on and on. Alongside Teemu are of course our two managers, Qiang (Kim) and Kimmo (Sauna), who are as always working endlessly to push Cadred towards the professional organisation it has become. I must pause here of course, to congratulate Qiang on his first Christmas with his recently born son, who's name is Axel!

While he does fall under the people who's name appears frequently on the news articles, Max (goodeh) certainly deserves a thanks as well, he puts a huge amount of time into this site, both writing the numerous articles that you read, and working behind the scenes to improve the site as a whole, and he really has done great things in this last year.

Then of course I must thank all the graphic artists we have at Cadred - we've been lucky enough to have devoter and Sulq heading up the team, with talented artists such as Gainiz and ruohiz, and new talent recently coming in, in the form of rOpse, and others. They may not get the credit that news staff get on the site, but they put in a lot of effort not only for site graphics, but for the graphics you see in articles, news, lan coverage and spotlights.

Finally, thanks go to everyone who helps the Cadred staff team, from writing articles, to submitting news tips, it is that attitude that keeps the eSports community on its feet. And, of course, last but not least, thanks to the support of everyone who uses this site every day, for giving the positive feedback that makes working here a treat.
