Most of us will have started off at an amateur level, battling away on a public server before slowly but surely being drip-fed information and learning more about the competitive side of computer games, eventually moving into mixes, then tournaments, then leagues, then LAN events.. It's a long and tedious journey and one that see's many people come and go before they reach the promised land, as such Andrew saw an opening in the market and decided to provide all of the information needed about e-sports in the one place.
The websites aim is opening the door to the world of e-Sports for those who have never explored it and giving them the best possible resources to get them involved, as a spectator, or as a player. That means that all of the vital information about e-sports is included as well as huge databases of various configs, guides, articles and more for people who are already involved in the scene.
The brand new website will also feature a state of the art mixing system where players or teams can create matches to play in. IES Play! creators have the option to configure the mix as they wish to their specific settings, as well as kicking people so their friends can join, or editing the server IP and password on the fly.
We're interested in the growth and promotion of competitive computer gaming - and we hope you are too. You may have visited from a clan website where you play games on the weekend with your friends; you may have only a few weeks ago found yourself on the grand stage of a LAN tournament somewhere around the world competing at the highest possible level.
Electronic sports isn't just inclusive of professional players in games though, it also involves competing in games at all imaginable levels and we're here to bridge the gap, spread the word and do what we can do help you get involved.
Our job is quite simple: opening the door to the world of e-Sports for those who have never explored it and giving them the best possible resources to get them involved, as a spectator, or as a player. We'll introduce you to some of the basics in e-Sports like how and where to make a start, which games are popular at the moment, what sort of level you should be playing at individually, which are the best websites to follow teams and events, showing you how some of the top teams and players have made their success - and how you can too.
With the help of e-Sport enthusiasts around the globe, as well as dozens of clan leaders, professional players, news writers, video makers, team managers and fans, we hope to make your journey as exciting and rewarding as possible and get you familiar with one of the world's fastest growing sports out there.
