Hello everyone,

I wanted to update you guys a little about my pc situation.

Before i32 I got myself a new cpu, videocard and main board. As proph explained, I am not a very good technician ;) so I know very little about computers. Anyway I installed those parts before in my old pc and believe it or not I succeeded :D. So I thought let's do that again. I probably did everything like I supposed to do it but I made one little mistake, which turned out to be a HUGE mistake later on because they said I had wrecked my main board.

I called the store where I bought it and I asked if I could bring it over so they could have a look at it. When I heard the bad news about the broken main board I thought I would probably not get my money back. The store sent the broken main board to the manufacturer so they could decide if I would get my money back or not.

In the meanwhile I had to bug a friend of mine to play all my official matches at his place and luckily he was ok with it (thanks for that dude :D). After 3 weeks of sending impatient e-mails to the store I finally got a phone call that my pc was ready for pick up :D (which was last friday 1 dec).

Turned out they didn't install my harddisk and my dvdrom drive decently but I managed to get them working. After I installed everything the big moment was there. I launched CS:S and guess what ;P, it didn't work! As soon as I clicked a button in the menu my screen went black with a grey box at bottom right. For 2 whole days I tried everything. I called proph for a bit of help but everything I tried didn't work.

That saturday I went to a huge house party called Fabulous with some friends. It surely helped to get my mind off my pc for a while :D (from 23:00 till 7:00 to be exact =D).

After I woke up (16:00) I went behind my pc again and tried some more stuff to fix my CS:S. Nothing worked. But today (4 dec) I finally I fixed the problem. My video card wasn't getting enough power (I knew that by the way but there weren't 2 cables in the video card box). Then I started a search through the house for my old video card box. I found the same cable inside that box I attached it to my video card and the problem was fixed :D. I must say I'm very happy that it's over now because I had put so much time into trying all sorts of things. I didn't even have time to work on my assignments for my photography academy. Oh well fortunately it's all solved now and we can get back to practicing with the team again. And by the way, if I bored you, I swear it was not my intention :D.
