A Rene Day For XAYA
@ Scene news channel

XAYA Gaming have suffered a huge blow just one day after their disappointing performance at TheBlast.

The team headed into the event as hot favourites following some fantastic performances at major international events of late, including 5th-6th place at the 30P LAN and a 4th place finish at the Copenhagen Games. They were left shocked in the elimination stages though by, firstly and in-form DSRack.com mix - filled with some of the best Danish players around past and present - and secondly by Danish upstarts SpeedGaming in the lower bracket final, seeing them condemned to a third place finish at an event they realistically should have won.

They have now been hit by yet another bombshell as star player Rene 'cajun' Borg has decided to leave the team immediately, stating that he was tired of losing because of silly errors made by the team. The news leaves them with a bit of a problem on their hands and they have yet to comment on what the future holds for the team, one thing is for sure, their status as Denmarks #1 is now in serious jeopardy.

René "cajun" Borg said the following to Gaming.dk:

I have decided to leave XayaGaming because I eventually tired of losing tournaments and matches because of stupid errors, which shouldn't happen. It's frustrating knowing that we have played together for so long and still make these errors at times. However, it must be said that we also have had good times and will really miss the boys and from XayaGaming. Especially a thanks to management, because they really couldn't have done their job better.

Thanks for a great time:)

This leaves XAYA Gaming with:

Nicolai "hunden" Petersen
Mathies "Mefie" Eskildsen
Magnus "JOKERN" Barthel
Søren "socN" Falke
