Delpan Capture In Trouble?
@ Scene news channel

SK Gaming today officialy revealed the acquisition of former fnatic.MSI star Marcus 'Delpan' Larsson, just six months after the player joined the organisation. However, contrary to reports from the organisation, fnatic.MSI have stated that he has not yet been released from his contract.

It was reported earlier today that Marcus would be the third player in the past year to switch from the fnatic organisation to SK Gaming, following in the footsteps of the legendary fnatic duo Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg. It came after a hectic past week for the Swedish team after releasing their stand-in player Dennis "dennis" Edman early last week, only to see old timer Jimmy 'allen' Allen step in to help the team to the final of the Swedish WCG qualifier.

It was stated on the SK Gaming website that Marcus will be stepping into the team immediately and his first tournament will see him up against his former team in the Swedish WCG qualifier final, taking place at Dreamhack Summer next month.

The teams coach Budak said the following to SK Gaming.com:

This team is and has been a very important part of my daily life. Since 2007, after bds confronted me to join SK Gaming, I have been the coach and on top of that the mentor of the SK Gaming CS team. My feeling tells me that this step, signing Delpan, is the missing link to success this year. With this move we aren't stealing a player from another organisation. If a player wishes to become a part of SK, or vice-versa, we will try everything to make this possible. Welcome Marcus!
Yet once more there seems to be problems with the move and the way in which SK Gaming have gone about trying to acquire the player, as the fnatic organisation have been keen to stress.

The past two day's headlines portraying news of Marcus leaving FnaticMSI and signing with SK Gaming citing outdated leaked contracts, we would like to take this time to explain to our fans in detail.

While Marcus has expressed his desire to leave FnaticMSI to join up with SK Gaming, he has also been willing to discuss his release and transfer - SK Gaming have not. There have been no words between the management of FnaticMSI and SK Gaming. Sadly this is not the first time a situation such as this has happened between the two organizations making this a very sad and upsetting time for esports and CS.

Numerous times before and during CeBIT, SK Gaming have attempted to acquire FnaticMSI contracted players such as Strenx without going through the proper channels. Unfortunately, the same situation has presented itself again with Marcus.

It should be acknowledged that FnaticMSI would be open and willing to discuss the transfer and release of Marcus 'Delpan' Larsson when approached professionally; however, at this point dissapointingly SK-Gaming have failed to do this. Instead SK Gaming has decided to ignore and repsect contracts. - Read an announcement on fnatic.com

fnatic business development manager Neil Kirk also added the following:

The actions of SK Gaming Managing Director, Alex Mueller, and his recent comments on Twitter are deeply disappointing and unprofessional. The G7 was formed on the basis to promote the cooperation and unity between professional organizations. At no stage has SK Gaming attempted to contact any member of the FnaticMSI management to discuss the transfer and release of Marcus 'delpan' Larsson. It is clear that Marcus has a desire and intention to leave FnaticMSI and we acknowledge this, however this does not give either the player or competitor the right just to ignore a valid contract. This shows the true colours of SK Gaming. We still strive and seek a mutually agreeable and professional outcome, something that at this stage is proving difficult. Regardless of past history I would urge SK Gaming to resolve this matter amicably.

It is clear that the player wants to move and as such, numerous players have been linked with the fnatic slot which will inevitably open, one name springing up more than any other though is Rasmus 'GuX' Stahl, the player who was caught in the centre of the controversy the last time round. However it's clear that until the contract issues are solved no player will be going anywhere.
