CoD-Gamer LAN: Groupstage
@ General coverage channel

The second Call of Duty 4 lan is taking place this weekend at gamingcafe called Milk Opéra Hall located in Paris, France and as the previous COD4 lan, the Multiplay i32, the publisher of the game Activision has added a €3000 first prize to spice things up a bit. The runner ups and the third team will receive products kindly provided by Razer and Qpad.

The event features 12 invited teams including the number one Call of Duty 2 team TeK-9 Networks Ltd. who are making their first official apperiance in a lan enviroment and might be playing against the runner ups of the recent Multiplay i32 event the British based team of The Last Resort. TRL weren't even coming but since the German powerhouse SPEED-LINK announced they won't, an opportunity came. The third foreign team will be the powerful H2k.Qpad who will be playing with a stand-in player as Sticky from LowLandLions will be covering for tekin. The remaining nine teams are all french and we might see some suprises popping up from there such as oXmoze or Stigma.

The twelve clans have been split into two groups with six clans in each, TeK-9 will be playing against the French. What about the argued ruleset? The one used this weekend at Paris will be modwarfare with little changes such as there are no stun grenades or LMG's. Will be interesting to see what kind of feedback this ruleset will get as there are only two perks allowed, extra ammo and bulletdamage.
