After over a year together and plenty of success eXelon Gaming have decided to release their CS:S squad, effective immediately.

The team sprung up in early 2010 and instantly made their way to the top of the Finnish scene with only CKRAS considered better. Throughout the course of the year they enjoyed some mighty highs and some shattering lows as they struggled for consistency, yet recently they seem to have achieved the level of consistency that had eluded them throughout the 2010 campaign. Sadly though the team have been forced to part ways for a number of reasons.

Roope "F0rbes" Kopola will be moving to Canada in the summer whilst Janne "zwhR" Mikkola will be starting his national service later this year, a path that claims many players and teams hailing from that region. Lastly the teams captain and talisman Sami "SAMITSKY" Kuivala has chosen to focus on his poker career, leaving little time for CS:S. As such the organisation have decided to release the team and cast their net in search of replacements.

Toni "Chibulis" Jarkima said the following to eXelon Gaming.

Our journey with the team ended up before end point, but it included only great moments that I will remember always. In a year they won Assembly two times and were named 6th best team in EU, which should give huge motivation boost to future topteams from Finland as this proves that hard work is worth it after all.

I would like to thank the whole team for their hard work to help us to develope as a organisation and for all the achievements they got under different online and LAN tournaments.

This is not the end of eXelon's Counter-Strike: Source career as we are already looking out for a new team!
