Swedish source has taken a battering recently, with its two top teams, Team NoA and Eyeballers drafted to represent the Berlin Allianz and the Stockholm Magnetik respectively. Faxzup has a lot to live up to. Having achieved second at the Wonderbase LAN in Sweden, losing a well fought final against roskilde, the team has obvious potential, and rightly so. Composed of former top players, from teams such as Dignitas and Eyeballers, Faxzup will be proudly waving the Swedish flag as the first Swedish team to attend an I-series ever.

The team are the only known top CSS team using the Turn up and play option, provided by multiplay to give European teams a chance to avoid the hassle of lugging PC's over the sea. Both Giftig and Hellblinde are used to a NON-byoc LAN, they played together in Eyeballers at TeX where they placed 7-8th. Wether the other players can adjust to the PC's is another matter. The conditions of a turn up and play ticket are you can only be on the PC's when you have a match, leaving no time to practice or get used to the PC's.

has perhaps an interesting reputation amongst the Swedish community, the equiavlent of Pez to the UK one perhaps, meaning he doesn't tend to stay in clans for long. This seems to have changed with Faxzup, he may have finally settled down. I think faxzup should do well, but will be limited by the TUP computers and not achive their full potential.

I had a chance to catch up with tyron of Faxzup on his experience so far

Hi tyron, how has the tournament been so far?

It has been fine, nice people and alot of help when its needed, and the TUP computers are really nice etc, so sofar its only positive

In the TUP terms, it was said you can only use the PC's during matches, has this been the case?

Yes I know, and yesterday we waiting for almost 8 hours before we could get to the computers, but today we have had them all the time since we arrived, so its nice and we have been able to play some games.

You haven't lost a match and face Complete Control next match, how confident are you going into it?

We are very confident even though its de_cpl_mill which isn't our best map so.. It will probably be a great game and hopefully it will be a closer game then before..

How have your impressions of the event been so far?

As I said earlier, its really nice because every single UK dude is so kind and helpfull, like our cabdriver yesterday drived around newbury and every food place where closed so he simply got us kebab etc, perfect :D

How far do you think you will go in the tournament, can you win it?

Even though we got giftig, we might be able to get quite far and hopefully we can catch a top3 position, atleast thats our goal... lets hope giftig does some damage..

Do you agree with your sixth place seeding?

Well we cant really complain since we havent done anything special yet, and i dont care to much about the seeds.. but i do think we are deserved a fifth seed though..

Do you think the tournament format is better than the last I-series?

Yes I think they have handled it good, and we are confident about our bracket side and think we can go far..

How was the journey to the event?

It was good after the plane arrived, since the plane was abit shaky we thought we would crash lol... and we had to wait for 2hours i think before the trains arrived, but everything else went smooth.. UK is nice!...

Thanks for your time!
