With impressive finishes in both online and offline tournaments, Link Gaming have been on the up since their formation in January. However along the way they have had a recurring problem of players coming and going, even after convincing placements at events.
In yet another unfortunate turn of events, Link Gaming have lost one of their longest standing players, Jack "jagg" Graham, due to him losing motivation and deciding to step down from the team. He will continue to help out the team by playing in the EPL until the ESL rosters can be modified.
Stepping in to LiNK Gaming will be the former Rasta-Gaming star and Epic LAN MVP, Josh "mole" Rowley, who has been out of the game since leaving Rasta after the 30P LAN. Josh will be able to bring key experience to the team that may help them push even further up the rankings as well as aid them in bringing home higher finishes at events.
Unfortunately Josh will be unable to attend Epic LAN 6 due to being out of the country, however Link Gaming have confirmed a stand-in in the form of Philip "Whindanski" Nicholas who will be attending Epic LAN with the rest of the team. Mole will however join them at the next iSeries in Telford.
George "zed" Bear said the following on the Link Gaming website:
After we picked up bash we had a little break from playing as me and mini had exams, after they were over we all felt that something was wrong in the team despite having had some decent results in EPL as well as reaching the KGL-P play off stages. We spoke to jagg and found out that he lost motivation and couldn't commit as much time as we needed him to, therefore he decided to step down from the team.
As a result of this we were on the hunt for a new 5th for the third time, and after some discussion and a few games we decided to offer Josh the spot, who gladly agreed to join the team. We all agreed that he would be a perfect fit to the team and bring with him some great benefits. Unfortunately, mole will be unable to attend Epic LAN so we will be taking Whindanski as a stand in player, however mole will be with us for i43. Finally I would like to thank Link Gaming for there continued support and look forward to representing them at many tournaments in the future.
New addition Josh "mole" Rowley added:
Since leaving Rasta.Xd I've been looking about for a team that I think I would fit in with, with lan coming up fast I thought this would be the perfect place. Unfortunately I can't attend epic lan with the team as im away for a month in ayia napa(lad). This team has great potential and have been vastly improving every lan they've attended since they've formed. I'm very happy to be given this opportunity to represent Link Gaming and would like to thank them for taking me on board! Cu at i43!
Link Gaming are now:
Jake "batham" Batham
Jacob "mini" Harris
George "zed" Bear
Andrew "bashx" Christodoulou
