AiN Call It A Day
@ Scene news channel

It's a sad day for the Danish scene as one of the longest standing teams decide to go their separate ways.

Awesome Is Nothing started out over a year ago representing the DSRack organisation and within months they were considered to be the second best team in Denmark behind über G33KZ. By the time the team were pushing for a spot in the Cadred top10 rankings they felt the needed more support in order to attend international events regularly, leaving the DSRack organisation and beginning a search that would see them represent numerous organisations before finally settling with XAYA Gaming.

It was with XAYA Gaming that the team would finally make a name for themselves on an international level, defeating mTw on their way to a 5/6th finish at 30P LAN before managing a 4th place finish at the Copenhagen Games, narrowly losing out to 3DMAX. Shortly after the CPH Games the team chose to part ways with their organisation and not long after that two of the teams core players, René "cajun" Borg and Magnus "JOKERN" Barthel chose to leave, causing some serious issues.

At first it looked like the holes could be plugged and a number of top Danish players were touted as possible replacements, however after trying to make it work the team have decided that it would be best to go their separate ways.

Nicolai 'hunden' Pedersen said the following to Gaming.dk:

Here ends the loooooooooonnnnngggggggg ride of AiN. It is with a bad taste in my mouth that I choose to close the team. But after 1 year and 6 months, I decided to throw in the towel and say I do not want to continue the project.

I wish to give everyone who has been in the AiN / DSRack / XayaGaming / zero a thank you for the time - it was the coolest time in my CS career. Especially MEFIE, you will always be the best mate on stage!!!!! <33 CYA!
