DreamHack has always had a weird way of running, with qualifiers from Inferno Online tournaments, BYOC tournaments and direct invitees making up the base of the competition. This year is no different as we see the BYOC qualifier for the HoN tournament get underway.

Today see's the action get underway at Dreamhack with 32 teams descending upon the Swedish city of Jönköping to take part in the BYOC qualifier for the Heroes of Newerth tournament, set to begin tomorrow afternoon. Two teams have already secured a spot in the elimination bracket of the main event after winning entry via the Inferno Online qualifier held last month, those teams are Reason Gaming and TS-Gaming, both hailing from Sweden.

This means that there will be some serious competition for the remaining two spots in the tournament, fighting it out for those two spots will be some of the best teams in Europe including fnatic.MSI, Online Kingdom, Druidz and KD-Gaming, with each of them hoping to progress to the main event tomorrow to be in with a chance of winning the lions share of the 100,000 SEK prize purse.
