Wipeout + eSource = eSource
@ Blog channel channel

Wipeout Gaming and Team eSource's Counter Strike: Source team have announced that they are going to merge and play under the Team eSource banner. The roster now consists of:

David 'speed' Raybould
Matthew "Carrel" Carrel
Mike 'm1ke' walker
Alasdair "Duck" Sparrow
Nayden "NaYDeN" Delchev
Daniel "Kentish" Keane

Duck had this to say:

Wipeout's CSS team has been around for a long time in various guises. However, when snR and Hairboi went to their universities they discovered the internet connections were unsuitable for playing (snR kept timing out of vent every round and Hairboi had 500+ latency on a night). This left us with only 4 (Carrel, Duck, Kentish and psx). After searching for a short term 5th for our EDCSSL Week 1 game against eSource we found Haz (formerly off Phoenix Faction) aka fym and he performed admirably in the game, however, he decided he did not wish to join us full time and wants to focus on his college studies. It was then that we were approached by Speed about a possible merger and from the word go we were excited by the prospect as we know that the players they are bringing to the table are very talented. Myself, Kentish and Carrel are all quite sad to leave behind Cotch and Wipeout-Gaming and we wish him the best of luck with the multi-gaming organisation and we are sure he will succeed.

eSource Speed had this to say:

After a while with every team, you feel you hit a point where the team *can not* progress and you find people are not as motivated as they once were fierce/rambo mainly, over the past month fierce has been inactive and we have found our line up to be inconsistent thus causing under achievement. After our EDCSSL game I felt we needed a change, having played with carrel a few times in the past, I thought this would be a good move for me and the team. We hope with this line up will be making more of a stand at LAN and online.
